Florida Man Charged After Hurling Oreos At His Wife Over Coffee Maker Being Empty Of Water

A Florida man has been charged with tossing Oreos at his wife after a verbal argument over an empty coffee maker escalated.

According to FOX 35, John Sandoval, 70, was arrested on Saturday morning after deputies reported in an affidavit that he had thrown the package of Oreo cookies at his wife during an argument over their coffee maker, because it didn’t have water in it.

According to Lake County Sheriff’s deputies, the couple, who have been married for more than 40 years, got into a verbal fight while seated at a table.

She fell because Sandoval allegedly became “aggressive” at one point and threw the package of Oreo cookies at her chest.

While she was on the ground, Sandoval also put his hands on her throat, according to deputies, who also noted that her airways were unobstructed.

It wasn’t until the following day that the woman’s daughter encouraged her mother to press charges for the incident.

According to their report, deputies found no “obvious injuries” on the woman.

Sandoval allegedly acknowledged picking up the package of cookies and hurling it at her during his questioning by detectives, but he denied ever grabbing her throat.

Sandoval was charged with felony domestic battery on a person 65 years or older.
