A 33-year-old Florida man was arrested for hitting another man in the head with a coral rock and then stealing his stuff.
No life-threatening injuries were reported, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Newton Auer Brungart, 33. was charged with aggravated battery and theft.
MCSO was called to Warbler Lane on Big Pine Key at approximately 3:50 p.m. Friday to find the 60-year-old male victim with cuts to his head and arm.

Brungart was found nearby shortly thereafter, deputies say.
The investigation showed Brungart attacked the victim, hit him with a coral rock, and stole the victim’s bag containing his identification and miscellaneous belongings.
Brungart was arrested and booked into the Monroe County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
