A Florida man is celebrating a life-changing win after claiming a $1 million prize from a Florida Lottery scratch-off ticket.
Yandy Vargas, 33, of West Palm Beach purchased the winning 500X THE CASH ticket from a Publix supermarket in Lake Worth. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $640,000.
The 500X THE CASH game offers a top prize of $25 million, the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game. It also boasts the best odds to become an instant millionaire, with overall odds of winning at 1-in-4.23.

Scratch-off games are a significant revenue generator for the Florida Lottery, accounting for approximately 74% of ticket sales.
