A Florida man was arrested Saturday for threatening his neighbor with a machete after an argument over dog poop on the neighbor’s lawn.
Cape Coral Police Department says, Eduardo Aguila, 65, was arrested at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday after officers responded to the disturbance at a Cape Coral home.
The victim, Aguila’s neighbor, told police that he and the man argued over Aguila’s dog pooping in the victim’s yard, which was an ongoing issue, according to the victim.
According to police, the victim picked up the dog mess with a shovel and tossed it into Aguila’s yard telling the man to keep his dog on a leash or things wouldn’t end well.

The victim told police he heard Aguila yell to his family to grab the machete.
As the victim retreated, in fear of getting hurt, or worse, he turned to see Aguila coming toward him with a machete in hand.
Police say Aguila yelled, “If you kill my dog, I will kill you,” but only for the protection of his dog and family.
Aguila was arrested and booked into the Lee County Jail on a $20,000 bond. He is charged with Aggravated Assault With Intent To Commit A Felony.
