In a case highlighting the potential dangers of artificial intelligence, a Florida man has been arrested for possessing multiple images of AI-generated child pornography.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested 29-year-old Leonel Alvarado-Lizano on 20 counts of possession of AI-generated child pornography. The disturbing images depict the sexual abuse of children, including infants.

This arrest marks a significant development in the fight against child exploitation. A new state statute, 827.072, specifically addresses this emerging threat, making it illegal to possess or create such material.
Alvarado-Lizano was booked into the Martin County Jail with a bond set at $52,000.
