Florida Man Arrested For Allegedly Killing Mother Of His Child With Truck

A 32-year-old Florida man is in custody after allegedly using his truck to fatally strike the mother of his child and injure another man.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office reports that Edwin Amaya got into an argument with Brenda Hernandez Amaya, the mother of his son, on Saturday night.

Amaya then allegedly intentionally hit Hernandez Amaya with his truck, also injuring Omar Munguia-Henrique who was trying to intervene.

Hernandez Amaya was pronounced dead at the hospital, while Munguia-Henrique sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

According to reports, the couple’s son and Munguia-Henrique’s two children witnessed the incident. Munguia-Henrique alleges Amaya was drunk and had threatened to shoot everyone.

Amaya fled the scene but was later apprehended by deputies and charged with premeditated murder. He is currently being held in the Broward County Jail.
