A 27-year-old Florida man was arrested after leaving a bar without paying and then crashing into several parked vehicles.

Mohammad Shakeel Rehman, 27, from Cooper City, was charged with larceny, DUI, and reckless driving.

Rehman left Gilbert’s Resort in Key Largo after not paying for multiple alcoholic drinks at approximately 4 p.m. on June 11.

He then got behind the wheel of a Honda pickup truck in the parking lot and ran into three parked vehicles, causing approximately $40,000 in damages.

There were no serious injuries reported. A female was behind the wheel of the Honda when the Sheriff’s Office arrived, but it was quickly learned via witness statements and security video that Rehman and the female passenger switched seats, and Rehman was the suspect. The female was not arrested, deputies say.

Rehman was booked into the Monore County Jail.
