A Florida man was arrested early Monday morning after police say he went on a junk food binge inside a closed Walgreens. Christopher Morgan, 38, allegedly locked himself in the store’s restroom for five hours before emerging to raid the shelves.
Police responded to a call from the store’s alarm company just after 3 a.m. Upon arrival, they found Morgan with his pockets stuffed with candy and other snacks.

He was also in possession of several packs of cigarettes, which he had apparently taken from behind the counter.
According to the police report, Morgan admitted to intentionally locking himself in the restroom so he could stay in the store after closing. He then spent several hours eating and drinking various items from the shelves.

Morgan was arrested and charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. He was booked into the Volusia County Jail and later released on bond.
The Walgreens store manager estimated the total value of the stolen merchandise to be around $50. The store was also left in disarray, with food and drinks scattered throughout the aisles.
This is not Morgan’s first run-in with the law. He has a lengthy criminal history that includes multiple arrests for theft and drug possession.
