A Florida man has been arrested after breaking into a church and throwing items outside, according to a report.
Deputies responded Saturday to the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Oldsmar, Florida, after getting reports of items from inside of the church being scattered outside on the grounds.
Investigators say that after searching the scene, a window on the west side of the church that led inside the building was found broken, and all doors were locked and secured.
Deputies located 67-year-old Charles Brooks inside the church in the rear north room after the doors were unlocked by the property owner.
Brooks was taken out of the church, arrested, and admitted to investigators that he had been inside of the church for two days leading up to the incident.
“We thank the Lord for what he has done for us we been through alot these years the flood to the church door, termites, mold in the church now we had a burglar and just mess up a lot of things we just got back in the church November 7th just a month we still praising the Lord and praying for the man that done this so Please Continue To Pray For Us,” said Mt. Pleasent Missionary Baptist Church in a statement.
