Florida Man Claims $1 Million On Lottery Scratch-Off After Stop At ‘Amerika’ Gas Station

The Florida Lottery announced that Claudy Charles, 55, of Homestead claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

The Florida Lottery announced that Claudy Charles, 55, of Homestead claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Charles received his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

Charles purchased his winning ticket from Amerika Gas Station at 1541 Southeast 12th Avenue in Homestead. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
