A Florida lawn worker has been arrested and charged with a violent home invasion where he allegedly targeted his former client, an elderly man, to steal medical marijuana.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports that 24-year-old Roodphild Briteus broke into a home on SE Jackson Street in early November.

The elderly homeowner was awakened by noises and confronted Briteus in his living room, where Briteus attacked him, throwing him to the ground. The assault was captured on the victim’s home security cameras.

  • Battery on a person aged 65 years or older
  • Grand theft of a controlled substance

He is currently being held on a $300,000 bond.
