MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists traveling in and to the Florida Keys should be aware of a significant traffic disruption this Saturday, April 5, 2025. The 44th Annual Seven Mile Bridge Run will necessitate the closure of the Seven Mile Bridge, impacting U.S. 1 traffic.
The bridge will be closed to all traffic in both directions for approximately three hours to accommodate the race.

Authorities advise that the bridge closure will begin at approximately 6 a.m. Drivers are urged to plan their travel accordingly and ensure they are across the bridge before this time to avoid delays.
While traffic lanes are expected to reopen around 9 a.m., it is anticipated that it will take approximately an hour for traffic flow to return to normal.
