WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. – A 17-year-old Wesley Chapel boy has died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday around 10:11 pm. On Monday, Florida Highway Patrol released a photo of the suspect vehicle.

Troopers say an SUV, believed to be a dark-colored 2014-2016 model Nissan Pathfinder, was traveling westbound on Chancey Road. 

At the intersection of Bellmeade Court, a 17-year-old Wesley Chapel boy was walking across the roadway in a marked crosswalk.

The vehicle’s driver failed to yield and struck the pedestrian, who suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
