Gov. Ron DeSantis collected about $2.62 million for his political committee and campaign account from Sept. 17 to Sept. 23, while funneling $5.75 million to the Republican Party of Florida, according to newly filed finance reports.
DeSantis’ political committee, Friends of Ron DeSantis, raised $1.724 million during the week and had about $101 million in cash on hand as of Sept. 23.
The committee also spent $5.91 million during the period, with most of that amount funneled to the state Republican Party.
Meanwhile, DeSantis collected nearly $898,000 for his campaign account, which had about $9.22 million on hand. Updated reports for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist had not been posted on the state Division of Elections website as of mid-day Friday.
