Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis once again slammed President Joe Biden’s open-border immigration policies, this time after nearly 2,000 New York City high school students were displaced to make room for illegals.
DeSantis, who is also battling for the Republican presidential nomination, called the move “disgraceful.”
As the New York Post reported on Tuesday, “Students at a Brooklyn high school were kicked out of the classroom to make room for nearly 2,000 migrants who were evacuated from a controversial tent shelter due to a monster storm closing in on the Big Apple.”
“The city made the move amid concerns that a massive migrant tent at Floyd Bennett Field would collapse from torrential rains and gusting winds — packing them instead into the second-floor gym at James Madison High School five miles away.”

One resident, identified by the Post only ss Rob told the paper, “This is f—ed up. “It’s a litmus test. They are using a storm, a legitimate situation, where they are testing this out. I guarantee you they’ll be here for the entire summer.”
“There’s 1,900 people getting thrown into my neighborhood, half a block from where I live and we don’t know who they are,” Rob added.
DeSantis, asked about the situation during a press conference,” replied, “I think it’s disgraceful. … Your kids are supposed to go to school, then someone tells you, ‘Sorry, your kids have to stay home.’ Why? … Because the city government is commandeering the school to house illegal aliens. You talk about putting Americans last.”
“You’re depriving these kids of in-person education to house people who don’t have a right to be here to begin with. That’s Joe Biden’s America in a nutshell.”
DeSantis noted that rejection of Biden’s lax border security is becoming the consensus, as even liberals in Democratic cities are condemning his handling of the crisis.

“Almost all of them are saying, ‘This can’t go on like this.’ You can’t just have schools overtaken, hospitals overrun. People coming in (and) we don’t even know who they are,” he said.
“This has been … probably the biggest failure” by Biden, the governor added, “just simply because he has more control over this.”
“He is causing this. He could stop it. And he’s choosing not to stop it.”
