Gov. Ron DeSantis’ political committee and campaign raised nearly $1.68 million from July 16 through July 22, as he continued to have a huge bankroll heading into the November election.
The Friends of Ron DeSantis committee raised about $1.387 million during the week and had almost $122.5 million in cash on hand as of July 22, according to a newly filed finance report.
Contributions during the week included $200,000 from Conservatives for Principled Leadership, a political committee headed by incoming House Speaker Paul Renner, R-Palm Coast. Meanwhile, DeSantis’ separate campaign account received $288,113 during the week and had about $5.61 million on hand.
The committee also spent $2.224 million during the week, with almost all of the money going to Colorado-based Blitz Canvassing LLC for what a finance report described as “canvassing” expenses.
