Florida Governor Ron DeSantis provided updates today on the ongoing response and recovery efforts following Hurricane Debby. The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) has initiated rapid damage assessments in Dixie, Manatee, Sarasota, Suwannee, and Taylor counties.
These assessments will help determine the disaster assistance needed for residents and businesses, ensuring that communities can return to normalcy as swiftly as possible.

The “Activate Hope” initiative is now live, connecting Floridians with essential resources such as food, household goods, and home repairs.
As part of the Hope Florida initiative, Activate Hope coordinates efforts between the private sector, nonprofits, and government resources to support Floridians in the aftermath of natural disasters. Residents can access assistance by filling out the form provided.

Additionally, the State Assistance Information Line (SAIL) is operational. Floridians in need of resources after Hurricane Debby can call 1-800-342-3557 for support, with services available in both English and Spanish.
