President Joe Biden once proclaimed himself a “gaffe machine.” And he has lived up to that billing. Almost every day, Americans get to watch their bungling leader bumble and mumble his way through a speech or stumble through a public appearance.
But Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis now wants to slap his chief Republican rival with the G-label.
On Tuesday, DeSantis’ presidential campaign, according to the Washington Examiner, created the Trump Accident Tracker, which Team DeSantis said is intended “to highlight the liability that Trump is for his own campaign.”

“Donald Trump causes major workplace accidents for his own candidacy every time he veers off the teleprompter,” the campaign said.
DeSantis War Room, the GOP governor’s rapid response team on X (formerly Twitter), said the purpose of the tally is to see “how long Trump can go without causing an accident on the job.”
DeSantis War Room immediately posted on X, “It’s been 0 days,” followed by two laughing emojis.
DeSantis War Room opened the Trump Tracker with a post of a video from his rally in New Hampshire on Monday.
As the Examiner noted, Trump mixed up the leaders of Turkey and Hungary, told rally-goers not to worry about voting (“We got plenty of votes,” he said), talked about how the acronym U.S. resembles the word “us” (“I just picked that up,” he added), and reiterated that he had no legal mechanism to force Mexico to pay for a border wall.
According to the Examiner, DeSantis’ campaign had plenty of fodder to work with in starting the tracker.

“From praising Hezbollah terrorists and criticizing [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu, to failing to be able to answer whether a man can become a woman, to calling pro-life legislation passed in numerous conservative states (including Iowa and South Carolina) terrible, to pledging to cozy up to China, to attacking Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, the former president has been his own worst enemy on the campaign trail,” the campaign said.
