Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday continued to bash Republican presidential primary rival Nikki Haley for arguing that anonymous social media accounts are a “national security threat” that she would ban, if elected.
The DeSantis camp, through its social media rapid response team known as DeSantis War Room, posted an 87-second video that compared Haley to left-wing authoritarians such as Hillary Clinton, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and New York Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul.
In the clip, Clinton refers to social media as fostering an “epidemic” of “fake news and false propaganda,” and arguing that it is a “danger” that must be addressed.

Trudeau proclaimed that Big Tech has to step up in a “major way to counter disinformation.”
In her segment, Hochul notes that her administration is conducting “surveillance efforts” of “what’s being said on social media platforms.”
The clip also shows globalist Klaus Schwab, founder and head of the World Economic Forum, saying, “We must accept transparency. If you have nothing to hide, you shouldn’t be afraid.”
Interspersed among those comments are quotes by Haley calling for the outing of anonymous social media users. She argues that is intended to reverse “social media’s role in the division of our country.”
As the Tampa Free Press reported on Tuesday, Haley had told Fox News in an interview on Monday that “every person on social media should be verified by their name.”
“First of all, that’s a national security threat. When you do that, people have to stand by what they say and it gets rid of the Russian bots the Iranian bots and the Chinese bots, and then you’re going to get some civility when people know their name is next to what they say,” she added.

Haley subsequently tried to walk the comments back, after being hammered by conservative pundits and DeSantis.
She maintained that Americans could keep anonymous accounts, but her targets would be bad actors such as Russian, Iranian, and Chinese trolls.
But DeSantis has not let go of this.
He and his campaign have repeatedly slammed Haley for her idea. He called it “dangerous and unconstitutional” and added that it runs counter to the tradition of American political rhetoric that dates to the nation’s founding.
In posting the video on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, DeSantis War Room added, “Birds of a feather…” — which suggested Haley was in league with the likes of Clinton and Trudeau in badgering social media companies to reveal anonymous accounts.
