Florida Gov. DeSantis Appoints Dan Giordano To Greater Orlando Aviation Authority

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced Monday the appointment of Dan Giordano to the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA), a significant governing body overseeing one of the busiest airport systems in the nation.

Dan Giordano, a resident of Orlando, brings over four decades of experience in the hospitality industry to his new role.

He currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development for Rosen Hotels and Resorts, a major player in Central Florida’s tourism and hospitality sectors.

Giordano’s extensive resume also includes leadership roles on several influential boards and committees, such as:

  • Visit Orlando Board of Directors
  • Universal Boulevard Property Owners Association
  • International Drive Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board
  • American Hotel and Lodging Association Resort Committee
  • Orange County Sports Incentive Commission

A graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Giordano has been a key figure in advancing Central Florida’s tourism and business development.

GOAA Responsibilities

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority oversees the operation of Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL). MCO is among the busiest airports in the United States, serving millions of passengers annually and acting as a critical gateway for domestic and international travel.

As a member of the GOAA, Giordano will play a pivotal role in shaping policies and initiatives to support the airport’s continued growth and operational excellence.

Giordano’s appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
