The Republican Party of Florida and the House Republican campaign arm combined to raise nearly $1.9 million during the second quarter of the year, according to newly filed finance reports.
The state party said it raised $1.47 million from April 1 through June 30 and had about $15.35 million in cash on hand at the end of the period.
Large contributions to the party included $250,000 from the Seminole Tribe of Florida; $125,000 from Honest Leadership, a political committee chaired by Rep. Sam Garrison, R-Fleming Island; and $100,000 from a Realtors political committee, according to the report posted on the state Division of Elections website.

Meanwhile, the Florida House Republican Campaign Committee reported raising $418,397 during the quarter and had slightly more than $2 million on hand.
Large contributions included $150,000 from Duke Energy, $142,500 from political committees linked to Associated Industries of Florida, and $50,000 from AT&T.
