As 2024 comes to a close, Florida drivers are seeing some relief at the pump with gas prices hovering around $3 per gallon, slightly lower than they were at the end of 2023.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Florida on Monday was $3.06, a 7-cent increase from the previous week. However, this is still slightly lower than the $3.08 per gallon average recorded at the same time last year.

Nationally, the average gas price on Monday was $3.03 per gallon.
Several factors have contributed to the relatively stable gas prices in Florida, including lower crude oil prices and increased domestic production. However, global events and economic conditions can still impact prices at the pump.
AAA forecasts that gas prices may continue to fluctuate in the coming weeks, but they are not expected to see any dramatic spikes.
