Florida drivers saw a slight dip in gas prices after the Thanksgiving holiday, with the state average falling to $3.11 per gallon on Sunday. This represents a one-cent decrease from the previous week.
Despite the slight decline, gas prices were still higher than last year’s Thanksgiving. The average price on Thanksgiving Day was $3.13 per gallon, 10 cents more than what drivers paid in 2023.

“Thanksgiving gas prices in Florida gas prices were slightly more expensive than a year ago, yet it’s doubtful that prevented people from taking a trip,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group.
While gas prices were higher this Thanksgiving compared to last year, they were significantly lower than those seen in 2022. Drivers paid 30 cents less per gallon this year compared to Thanksgiving Day 2022.
AAA will release its Year-End Holiday Travel forecast on December 11th, providing insights into travel trends and expectations for the upcoming holiday season.
