Florida drivers are feeling the pinch at the pump as gas prices continue to rise. After months of relative stability, the state average has climbed above $3.20 per gallon, marking a noticeable increase for motorists.
According to AAA – The Auto Club Group, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Florida is now $3.22, up 3 cents from last week, 11 cents from last month, and 5 cents higher than this time last year.

“Drivers will likely continue to see gas prices fluctuate through the week, but there doesn’t currently appear to be any significant measure of relief on the way as of now,” said AAA spokesperson Mark Jenkins.
The recent surge in gas prices is largely attributed to rising oil prices. The price of U.S. crude oil reached a three-month high earlier this month, contributing to the upward pressure on pump prices. Although oil prices retreated slightly last week, the impact on gas prices has yet to be fully realized.
