According to a preliminary report, as deputies entered the residence, they found a 20-year-old male actively stabbing his 52-year-old father with a sword.

Deputies immediately issued verbal commands for the suspect to drop the weapon. When the suspect failed to comply with these commands, one of the deputies discharged their firearm, striking the 20-year-old.

Deputies on the scene immediately rendered medical aid to both the father and the son. However, despite their efforts, both individuals succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.
