Florida Family Sues ‘Jack In The Box’ After Texas Employee Shoots At Them Over Curly Fries

A young Florida family has sued Jack-In-The-Box restaurants Tuesday after a Houston Jack-In-The-Box employee shot at them over an argument over curly fries.

The employee has since pled guilty to the criminal charge of deadly conduct.

Anthony Ramos from the Miami area was working in Houston after the Big Freeze of 2021 when he went to pick up pregnant Jeraldin Ospina and their 6-year-old daughter from Intercontinental Airport on March 3, 2021.

They all left the airport together with their daughter in the back seat.

Being hungry from the flight the family ordered a meal from a Jack-In-The-Box drive-thru and asked for curly fries.

After payment, they checked the order and there were no curly fries.

They then asked the attendant, Alonniea Ford, for curly fries and eventually offered to pay but Ford refused to give up the curly fries they had paid for.

The discussion turned into shouting and Ford swore at them and pulled out a gun.

Ramos immediately pulled forward to get away as Ford shot at them.

Houston Police Department investigated and the attendant was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

“Jack-In-The-Box needs to do background checks on employees so as not to expose their customers to someone who would attempt to kill them,” said the family’s lawyer Randall L. Kallinen, “These rage cases are getting out of hand in Houston.”

The employee, Alonniea Ford, 28, has a history of charges ranging from terroristic threats to theft.
