The Sunshine Foundation, a non-profit organization since 1976, is dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of children with life-long chronic conditions, including spina bifida, cerebral palsy, severe autism, Down syndrome, and others. The foundation provides magical experiences for children and their families, often fulfilling dreams that other wish-granting organizations cannot.
The most common dream requests involve trips to popular Orlando attractions like Legoland, Universal Studios, Disney World, and SeaWorld, with families staying at the foundation’s 22-acre Dream Village. The Dream Village, featuring themed cottages, a heated pool, playground, and miniature golf course, has hosted over 21,000 children since opening in 1990.
