The Florida Department of Health is notifying individuals potentially affected by a recent cybersecurity incident that occurred on June 26, 2024.
Impacted individuals are being offered complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
The breach resulted in unauthorized access to personal identifying and protected health information, such as names, dates of birth, addresses, social security numbers, financial information, and medical histories. Personalized letters with specific details about impacted data have been sent to those affected.

The Department took immediate action to address the breach, shutting down affected networks, isolating compromised servers, and implementing enhanced security measures.
They are working with law enforcement and cybersecurity experts to investigate and mitigate the impact.
Individuals who haven’t received a letter but believe they may have been impacted can contact the dedicated call center at 866-997-1602.

The Department urges vigilance against identity theft and fraud by regularly monitoring financial accounts and credit reports.
