Republican state Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis collected more than $145,000 from Aug. 27 to Sept. 2 for his political committee and campaign, as he holds a huge financial edge over Democratic challenger Adam Hattersley, according to newly filed finance reports.
Patronis raised $124,520 during the period for his Treasure Florida committee, which had about $3.58 million in cash on hand as of Sept. 2.
Patronis also raised $20,724 for his campaign account during the period and had about $1.08 million on hand.
Hattersley, a former state representative from Hillsborough County, raised $5,731 for his campaign account during the period and had slightly less than $3,600 on hand, his finance report shows.
