Florida Cattlewomen Offering Trade School Scholarship

The Florida CattleWomen’s Association is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior enrolled in a  trade or technical school. 

The application deadline is May 29, 2021, and must include a current academic transcript and two letters of recommendation.

Founded in 1961 as the Florida CowBelles, Inc., the Florida CattleWomen, Inc. (FCW) conduct and participate in a variety of activities that can be summed up in our Purpose:

To foster the well-being of the beef industry through education and promotion, in cooperation with the Florida Cattlemen’s Association and Florida Beef Council. We are also an affiliate of the American National CattleWomen.

Events and activities are chosen for their ability to assist in accomplishing our priorities, namely:

  • Promote Beef Consumption
  • Educate the public about the Beef Industry’s Environmental and Animal Welfare Practices
  • Promote Legislative Awareness
  • Educate the FCW membership

At the present time some of the major activities are: Florida CattleWomen is currently involved with Tampa’s Junior League, Holiday Market, Florida CattleWomen’s Beef Information Booth at the Florida State Fair, Beef Ambassador Program, Agriculture Literacy, Beef Promotions, Educational Workshops, Active County CattleWomen’s Associations, and Legislative Visits. We believe in and strongly support youth involved in Agriculture through awarding college, trade, 4-H, and FFA scholarships.
