A search warrant executed last Tuesday by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit and the Northwest Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force resulted in the arrest of Paulino Tec Ixim, 42, a Guatemalan national.

Ixim faces multiple felony charges, including possession of child pornography, transmission of child pornography, possession of pornography depicting sexual activities with animals, and using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. The arrest followed an investigation initiated by a cyber tip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The investigation revealed that an online user identified as “Antonio Tek” had transmitted files containing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) via a social media platform. Subsequent subpoenas linked this account to an address on 82 Windy Hill Drive in DeFuniak Springs.

On April 22nd, authorities executed a residential search warrant at the identified location. During the search, Ixim admitted that the phone number associated with the social media account belonged to him.

Deputies say when searching Ixim’s phone, they found two additional videos of CSAM and one file depicting bestiality.

Following the discovery, Ixim was arrested and booked into the Walton County Jail. Due to his immigration status, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been notified of his arrest. He is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.
