A Florida Burger King employee was reportedly arrested after she allegedly shot at a customer, for tossing mayonnaise at her.
Police say Shateasha Monique Hicks, 30, was seen arguing with a male customer on Thursday afternoon. When he started to drive away, Hickss retrieved a weapon from her car and open fire on the man’s vehicle, shooting five times.
“He was making faces at her through the car window, out here in the road, and that’s when he pulled in here and that just set her off,” the witness, who identified himself as ‘Kevin’, told WPLG News.
A relative of Hicks’s says the man threw mayonnaise at her, according to WESH News.
“She started jumping up and down, ran outside, and started shooting at him,” WSVN News reports Kevin saying. “He took off after that and then she got in her car and followed him.”
Police tracked Hicks down about a mile from her home and placed her into custody.
WESH News reported that a gun was found in Hicks’s vehicle’s floorboard upon the vehicle’s discovery.
Hicks faces one charge of discharging a firearm while in public. As for the condition of the man who was shot at, police have not tracked down the victim as of yet.
