Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Office of Statewide Prosecution has filed multiple felony charges against three members of an organized crime ring accused of stealing more than $15,000 worth of merchandise from retailers in South Florida.
The suspects—Ariel McFarlane, Lequentin Butler, and Eddy Etienne—allegedly carried out over 35 thefts across Palm Beach and Broward counties within a four-month span.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigation revealed that between January and April, the trio targeted major retailers including CVS, Walgreens, Publix, Nordstrom, and Bloomingdale’s. They stole a variety of items ranging from laundry detergent and fragrances to high-end clothing.
After the thefts, the group reportedly sold the stolen goods through McFarlane’s Facebook Marketplace and Instagram accounts, delivering items to buyers in Palm Beach and Broward counties using McFarlane’s vehicle.
“All the laundry detergent and perfume in the state of Florida couldn’t cover up the stench of guilt emanating from these organized retail thieves. They committed more than 35 thefts from multiple retailers in South Florida, stealing more than $15,000 worth of laundry detergent, fragrances and expensive clothing. Now, my statewide prosecutors will make sure they pay for this four-month crime spree spanning multiple counties.”
