A political committee led by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody raised $126,500 in March, while a committee led by Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson pulled in $70,775, according to newly filed finance reports.
The Friends of Ashley Moody committee had nearly $3.47 million in cash on hand as of March 31. Her March contributions included $100,000 from Youngquist Brothers, LLC, a Fort Myers-based well drilling company, according to a finance report posted on the state Division of Elections website.
The Friends of Wilton Simpson committee, meanwhile, had about $2.72 million on hand as of March 31.

Moody was elected in November to a second term as attorney general, while Simpson was elected to a first term as agriculture commissioner.
