Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has teamed up with the Florida Tax Collectors Association to distribute vital information on voter fraud and crime prevention. This partnership will provide Floridians with direct access to resources from Attorney General Moody’s office, including materials on fraud detection, crime prevention, and more.

Many tax collector offices are now displaying brochures from Moody’s Scams at a Glance series, information on Florida’s voter fraud and human trafficking hotlines, as well as tips for reporting anonymous crime tips through the TIPS line.

“Floridians heading to their local tax collector office will now have access to resources with important information about voter fraud, consumer scams, human trafficking and more. This way, more Floridians will be equipped with the knowledge needed to avoid falling victim to scams, and they can also help law enforcement solve crimes,” said Moody.

Moody first collaborated with the FTCA in May 2021 to provide these resources to residents in select counties. The program has now expanded statewide.

Materials available at Florida Tax Collector offices include:

  • YouCanStopHT.com: Information on how to identify and report human trafficking;
  • Florida’s New Human Trafficking Hotline: 1(855) FLA-SAFE;
  • DoseOfRealityFL.com: Resources on opioid misuse, including warning signs and treatment options;
  • Scams at a Glance: Tools for recognizing and avoiding common scams;
  • TIPS: The first statewide anonymous crime-reporting tip line;
  • Florida Voter Fraud Hotline: 1(850) 245-6684.

In August, Attorney General Moody urged tax collectors to display voter fraud-related information ahead of the 2024 elections. Now, with this extended partnership, tax collector offices across Florida are showcasing materials on voter fraud and crime prevention initiatives from the Attorney General’s Office.
