A federal agency led by Alejandro Mayorkas apparently willfully and wrongfully withheld information containing how the Biden administration was expanding a parole program for illegal immigrants.
The allegation was made by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, who is taking the Biden administration to court over its failure to enforce immigration laws, the conservative website Florida’s Voice reported on Monday.
In court on Monday, Moody’s legal team said the previously undisclosed email traffic revealed that the Department of Homeland Security, led by Secretary Mayorkas, was working on the “destruction of the Trump administration’s immigration structures,” a move that left the U.S Border Patrol with mostly the option of releasing “almost all immigrants encountered.”
The emails, Moody’s team argued, clearly spelled out that federal authorities believed the flood of illegal immigrants reacting to Biden’s lax immigration policies will “immediately overwhelm” detention capacity, Florida’s Voice reported.

Moody maintained that the Justice Department was obligated to turn over the email traffic as part of the pre-trial discovery process. Instead, the attorney general was forced to obtain the correspondence through a separate Freedom of Information Act request and additional litigation, just as the trial was set to start.
In a press release last week, Moody’s office noted that it “uncovered evidence of Biden ignoring public-safety immigration laws allowing more than 1 million unvetted, inadmissible immigrants into the interior.”
The trial, which started Monday, would “once again show that the Biden administration is threatening Americans’ safety by intentionally weakening our nation’s border security.”
“Biden’s willingness to hide evidence and lie to the American people about the border crisis he created is deeply concerning. The records we obtained through our aggressive litigation efforts prove the Biden administration knew—as early as eight days after taking office—its destructive immigration policies were creating a colossal public safety crisis,” Moody told Florida’s Voice.

“The evidence that we fought ferociously to obtain is damning for the Biden administration, and we will continue to use his administration’s own actions and words against them in an attempt to force the president to follow the law,” she added.
Moody has said that in addition to allowing in a tidal wave of illegal immigrants, Biden, through his loose policing practices, has facilitated the illegal fentanyl trade that is responsible for tens of thousands of fatal overdoses each year.
Moody has urged Biden to declare fentanyl a “weapon of mass destruction,” based on the number of Americans who could potentially die if the drug were unleashed on the public at large.
