Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has filed a lawsuit against the Biden-Harris administration for failing to provide public records in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Filed in March by the Florida Attorney General’s Office, the FOIA request seeks documents related to the administration’s policies allowing dangerous criminals to be released into the United States after serving their sentences in U.S. prisons.

Attorney General Moody expressed concerns over reports suggesting that the Biden administration, including Vice President Kamala Harris in her role as Border Czar, has not deported certain illegal immigrant prisoners after their release.

Moody criticized the administration for its lack of transparency and urgency, stating, “This administration has made it clear they will not turn over documents showing this dangerous and unlawful scheme in a timely manner. Now, American cities are suffering in a very public way.”

In March, when filing the FOIA request, Moody highlighted the administration’s awareness of foreign prisoners entering the U.S. through its “wide-open border” and demanded explanations for why criminal aliens are being released directly into the interior rather than deported. After the administration failed to respond, Moody filed a complaint seeking injunctive relief and production of the requested documents.

The lawsuit raises concerns over the Biden-Harris immigration policies, claiming they allow dangerous criminals to be released into American communities, resulting in “chaos, anarchy, and crime.”

The complaint also references a recent incident in Colorado, where gang members allegedly took over an apartment complex, citing it as an example of the repercussions of these policies.

Moody aims to compel the administration to reveal the reasons behind these actions and the potential consequences for public safety.
