A series of lawsuits challenging the validity of the Florida abortion rights amendment on the November 5th ballot have been dropped.
These lawsuits, filed by opponents of the amendment, alleged fraud in the petition-gathering process.
The Florida Department of State’s Office of Election Crimes and Security released a report in October accusing petition gatherers of fraudulent activities and the sponsoring political committee, Floridians Protecting Freedom, of illegal payment practices.

Despite these allegations, the amendment garnered significant support, receiving 57.16% of the vote. However, it fell short of the required 60% threshold for passage.
With the failure of the amendment, the lawsuits have now been dismissed.
