Firefighters Battle Brandon House Fire Early Monday

BRANDON, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue fought a house fire on Monday morning at 903 Marjorie Avenue in Brandon.

“Our dispatch center received multiple calls at 7:50 AM from individuals stating smoke was coming from the structure.  The first arriving unit, Engine 37, confirmed heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the front of the house,” said HCFR.

Officials say firefighters deployed a handline to initiate an aggressive interior attack on the attic fire.

The blaze was extinguished within 20 minutes. Primary and secondary searches were conducted, and no occupants were inside the structure. There were no injuries to civilians or first responders.

“Our investigations unit is on the scene, working to determine the cause. The American Red Cross has been contacted to assist two adults and one dog who have been displaced due to the fire,” said HCFR.
