Fire Investigation Underway On Cape Leyte Drive, One Person Injured: Sarasota County Sheriff

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is currently investigating a fire that occurred in the 5600 block of Cape Leyte Drive.

One person sustained injuries in the fire and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of the injuries is currently unknown.

Road Closures:

  • Shady Lawn Drive will be closed between Shady Lawn Way and Beach Way Drive, with access limited to residents only.

The SCSO is urging anyone with information about the fire to contact them at 941-316-1201 or call 911.
