ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – At approximately 2:00 pm, a fire broke out at 3030 5th St N, and St. Petersburg Fire Rescue was alerted to the incident and swiftly responded to the scene.
Crews arrived and began extinguishing the fire, which originated in an apartment unit.
Firefighters worked to contain and control the fire, ensuring the safety of the residents and surrounding structures.
“Thanks to the quick response of the fire department and their effective firefighting techniques, the fire was successfully brought under control,” said SPFR.

There were no reported injuries among the residents or emergency personnel. However, four apartment units were affected by the fire, subsequent smoke, and water damage.
The relevant authorities are currently assessing the exact extent of the damage.
Officals say the affected residents have been temporarily displaced, and some are receiving assistance from Red Cross.
