Fire Breaks Out At Black Dog Firewood In Tampa Sunday

TAMPA, Fla. – Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was on the scene of a two-alarm commercial fire on Sunday.

The dispatch center received 911 calls at 11:50 AM from individuals reporting a fire at Black Dog Firewood. 

“A metal structure and large amounts of heavy timber were on fire.  Due to the large fire load at this location, our first arriving personnel upgraded the fire from a single alarm to a 2-alarm fire,” said HCFR.

There were no injuries to civilians and/or firefighters. 

“This is currently an active scene, though the fire was deemed under control about an hour into the incident,” said HCFR.
