According to the FHP report, the pickup truck was traveling westbound on County Road 326 in the left turn lane, preparing to turn onto NE Jacksonville Road. Simultaneously, a sedan, driven by a 59-year-old man from Archer, Florida, was traveling eastbound on County Road 326 and proceeding through the intersection.
Investigators determined that the pickup truck turned left directly into the path of the oncoming sedan. The left front of the pickup collided with the left rear of the sedan. The force of the impact pushed the sedan into a parked vehicle, causing significant damage between the sedan and the parked car.
The driver of the pickup truck did not stop after the collision. Instead, the vehicle continued south onto NE Jacksonville Road, fleeing the scene without rendering aid or providing legally required information.
