The FBI is actively investigating the July 13 rally shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, treating it as both an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and a potential case of domestic terrorism.

According to investigators, FBI technical specialists have successfully accessed Thomas Matthew Crooks’ phone and are currently analyzing his electronic devices.

Officials say the search of Crooks’ residence and vehicle has been completed. To date, the FBI has conducted nearly 100 interviews with law enforcement personnel, event attendees, and other witnesses, with interviews ongoing.
