FBI Agent Facing Charges In Florida, Texas, and Louisiana Of Sex Crimes Against Children

An FBI special agent based in Louisiana, who investigates crimes against children, allegedly exposed himself to multiple children and molested one child in a period from 2018 to 2019.

The alleged crimes took place in Florida, Louisiana, and Texas, according to an affidavit.

On Thursday, Franklin County Florida Sheriff AJ Smith announced an arrest warrant has been issued for FBI Supervisory Special Agent David Harris.

Harris, 51, is accused of exposing himself in a lewd and lascivious manner to a 14-year-old while he was on vacation in St. George Island, Florida in July 2019.

According to the Army report, the Florida incident occurred at a rental home in St. George Island, Florida in 2019 when Harris’ family and another family were vacationing.

Harris allegedly took off all of his clothes at a pool party and started swimming in full view of two juveniles.

According to the report, when Harris was confronted about this, he apologized and said he was drunk.

Investigators say evidence shows other felony crimes were committed by Harris. They say they were all of a sexual nature with minors and adults in Louisiana and Texas, five jurisdictions, and three states in all.

Deputies say records from Harris’ issued government electronic devices showed Harris claiming his sexual preference to underage females and admitting to things, including the incident in Florida.

Harris is currently behind bars in Louisiana.

His charges include indecency with a child and sexual battery.

Investigators say Harris was arrested in Louisiana, where a judge declared him “a threat to the public at large” and ordered him to be held without bond. In Texas, he faces charges for crimes that allegedly happened over several years.
