TAMPA, Fla. – On Wednesday at approximately 4:45 am Tampa Police responded to the intersection of W. Kennedy Blvd and N. Westshore Blvd in reference to a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle.
The adult female pedestrian was fatally injured as a result of the crash, according to police.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
Eastbound Kennedy traffic was shut down at Westshore Blvd for several hours while the traffic crash was investigated, but has since reopened.
