TAMPA, Fla. – – A shooting incident this morning has left one man dead and a woman hospitalized. Just after 8:00 AM, Tampa police responded to reports of shots fired on the 3600 block of E Osborne Ave.
Upon arrival, they found a vehicle had crashed into a house. The driver, an adult black male, was critically injured and later died at a local hospital. The resident of the house, an adult black female, was also hospitalized but is in stable condition.

Early investigations suggest the driver was shot by an unknown suspect, causing him to lose control and crash into the house. The suspect fled the scene.
Potter Elementary School was briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution, but it has since been lifted. Detectives are actively investigating the incident.
