HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A fatal collision occurred on the northbound Veterans Expressway near Milepost 8 Tuesday at around 4:00 pm.
According to authorities, two vehicles were involved in the incident. One vehicle, a motorcycle driven by a 65-year-old Trinity man, was merging from the express entrance lane into the inside lane, while the other, a Ford F150 with a trailer, was traveling in the inside lane.
The motorcycle moved into the path of the truck, leading to a collision despite the truck driver’s attempts to avoid a crash.

The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn, leaving both vehicles in the northbound lanes.
Tragically, the driver of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital. The driver of the pickup truck, a 26-year-old Port Richey man, was not injured.
