Fatal Head-On Collision On Fort Dade Avenue Claims Life Of Spring Hill Man

HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 20-year-old Spring Hill man tragically lost his life in a head-on collision on Fort Dade Avenue this morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man was driving a Dodge Dakota eastbound when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the center line and struck a westbound Ford F150 head-on. The accident occurred east of a private driveway at 18092 Fort Dade Avenue.

The Spring Hill man, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Ford F150, a 48-year-old Brooksville man, and a 17-year-old passenger in his vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
