SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. – A fatal crash involving two vehicles has shut down southbound Interstate 75 at Mile Marker 188 in Sarasota County. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is assisting the Florida Highway Patrol in the investigation.
One person has been confirmed dead at the scene. Southbound traffic is being diverted at River Road, exit 191. Motorists are strongly advised to seek alternate routes.
